As a young kid growing up in Colorado, I spent hours watching Tiger Woods on TV and putting at the local course dreaming about being a professional golfer. I moved to Folsom, CA when I was six where I continued to grow my love for the game year round. As a junior golfer I played in many Northern California events in the First Tee, where I would eventually be selected to play in the First Tee Nature Valley Open at Pebble Beach where I was paired with the 1989 Open Champion, Mark Calcaveccia.
I would go on to play Division 1 golf at the University of the Pacific where I had great experiences competing against the best amateurs in the world on the nicest courses in the country. While at Pacific I was fortunate enough to qualify for the U.S. Amateur at Pinehurst #2 and the USGA Four-Ball Championship at Bandon Dunes. Not only was I able to succeed on the golf course but off the course as well. I was a two-time WCC All-Academic team recipient and a two-time Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar recipient. I take pride in my achievements both on and off the course because it shows how hard I am willing to work.Â
Upon graduation in May 2020, I played in my first professional golf tournaments over the summer. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic I was not able to compete in any of the qualifying schools for the major tours, which left me competing on mini-tours across the country. These mini-tours however, were filled with players who have status on the major tours, which provided some of the strongest fields ever. These events not only showed me how much fun professional golf can be but also that I have the ability to compete against the best players in the world. With lots of hard work and hopefully your help, I know that I can achieve my dream of playing on the PGA Tour and one day become the number 1 player in the world!
